In Conjunction with
The 50th International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP) 2021
https://oaciss.uoregon.edu/icpp21/index.php
Chicago, Illinois, August 9th-12th, 2021.
The conference will be held in either hybrid or virtual format depending on the exact status of COVID pandemic.
Research of wireless ad-hoc and sensor networks is continuing to produce potential solutions to the networking scenarios that require efficient and dynamic communications among distributed mobile users over relatively bandwidth-constrained wireless links. The distributed sensing capabilities and the ease of deployment of sensors enable various interesting applications, such as monitoring the environment to collect information, assisting emergence/rescue operations and forming vehicle and military networks, etc. The related subjects are enormously complex, involving many concepts, protocols, technologies, algorithms, and products that work together in an intricate manner. This workshop is focused on the issues that arise in designing wireless sensor and ad-hoc networks, including both the practice of employing wireless sensors in real-world applications and the fundamental/theoretical basis that leads to building such applications. We hope to provide a forum for sharing ideas and experience among researchers and practitioners working on state-of-the-art techniques in this challenging field.
The topics include but not limited to:
- VANET applications
- Mobile P2P and overlay networks
- Data dissemination
- Middleware
- Mobile data management
- Routing and messaging protocols
- Privacy and security applications
- Energy and resource management
- Location based services
- Resource management
- Multiple access
- Localization and tracking
- Fault tolerance and redundancy schemes
- Multimedia/QoS communications
- Cloud applications
- Novel applications related to wireless, ad hoc, and sensor networks
The published papers will be available at the conference in digital format, and accepted papers will appear in ACM Digital Library.
