Kaneko Laboratory Laboratory for Nano/Micro Structure and Device

TOP PAGE

Kaneko Laboratory, - The Laboratory for Nano/Micro Structure and Device -, at Tokyo Metropolitan University  was established inApril 2010. The primary focus of our research is the development of nano/micro-fabrication tehniques for applications in MEMS and Bio-medical devices. These techniques are mainly based on bottom-up processs such as self-origanization, printed technologies (micro-contact print, transfer printand), material synthesis of metal, semicondutor, and polymers. Our goal is to provide novel Nano/Micro-tools(devices) contributing to the development of advanmced medhical technologies and safe social system. We have expertise in surface/interface physics and engineering such as adhesion and wettability to structuarize thin-film, nano-material, and polymer of materials. Thelatest research topics are "Transfer-print for MEMS Fabrication", "Mciro-actuator for Cell Stimulation Device", and "Self-patterning ofCultured Cells on Micro-strcutured Scaffold".
